Tennis and injury

Tennis. I don't know a sport more technically difficult. For the beginner it's a lot to comprehend. But my coaching philosophy is not to water down the technique just because it's hard. It does not matter if the player is 8 years old or 80. Everyone deserves to play tennis with world class technique. Not only will the player become more confident with shots, but will play longer. Tennis should be a lifelong sport. There should not be injuries. Unfortunately many players stop for "overuse" injuries and surgeries. Injuries are not normal for tennis. Such injury typically has a root in a flaw in technique or a mistake in nutrition. A coach with an understanding of anatomy and physiology, nutrition, biomechanics and kinesiology will keep their student on court for a lifetime.
